Voter Residency: Deadline Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, January 21st is the last day for electors to begin to acquire residence for the Spring Primary on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.  Electors moving after this date may vote from their prior address.

Voter Residency ... What is this?
When a voter moves their residence from one municipality to another within the state at least 28 days before the election, they can vote and are considered a resident of the new municipality by registering at the proper polling place or other registration location in the new area. If the voter moves less than 28 days before the election, they can vote in their former or new municipality as long as they are registered.

What does that mean?
If you are moving BEFORE TUESDAY, JANUARY 21, and your new address is in the Village of Bellevue, you must vote as a Bellevue resident (as long as you register - Anyone who moves must re-register to vote.). If you move to Bellevue AFTER TUESDAY, JANUARY 21, you may vote under your prior address as long as you are registered.

Anyone who moves must re-register to vote.
