Change to Intersection &Traffic Flow

Landmark Blvd. & Costco Way -- Effective 02/09/2026

To address ongoing safety concerns, the Village of Bellevue will redesign the intersection of Landmark Blvd. and Costco Way to limit turning movements. The project will be implemented in two phases. A temporary concrete barrier will be installed prior to the morning commute on Monday, February 9, 2026, resulting in the full closure of the Landmark Blvd. median at the intersection. A permanent barrier is scheduled for installation in late fall 2026.

As growth and development continue along the Monroe Road Corridor, traffic volumes in the area have increased significantly. The intersection has also experienced a rise in both the frequency and total number of motor vehicle crashes, placing additional demands on law enforcement resources and disrupting the flow of local traffic. A detailed traffic analysis was completed in July 2025, and in October 2025, the Village Board approved a right-in, right-out configuration for Costco Way.

The closure of the Landmark Blvd. median will prohibit traffic from crossing Landmark Blvd. or making left turns onto Costco Way in either direction. This change is expected to reduce potential conflict points by 87 percent.

The Village of Bellevue will continue to communicate with area businesses and the public as the project progresses. Motorists should anticipate access changes at the intersection of Landmark Blvd. and Costco Way beginning Monday, February 9, 2026.

HOW WILL THIS AFFECT YOU?
If you are turning onto Landmark Blvd. from Monroe, you will not be able to make a left turn onto Costco Way.

  • To access Costco, you will need to drive further down & turn into Costco’s parking lot.
  • To access businesses on Costco Way, you will need to continue straight on Monroe & turn onto Town Hall Road.
