Temporary Signage in the Village

As we approach fall, it's crucial to remember the significance of adhering to the regulations when it comes to displaying any type of temporary signage on properties within the Village of Bellevue. § 500-1805 Temporary signs of the Village of Bellevue Zoning Ordinance play a vital role in maintaining the aesthetics and order within our community.

 

Residential & Agricultural Districts

A property owner is permitted to display up to four (4) temporary signs on your property during a calendar year. The duration to display any temporary sign is 60 days per temporary sign. No sign shall obstruct pedestrian and/or vehicular traffic, or be located within the right-of-way or vision triangle.

 

One-sided sign

  • The maximum size is 8 square feet for a one-sided sign
  • General dimensions for a one-sided 8 sf sign would be 4' x 2

 

Two-sided sign

  • The maximum size is 4 square feet for a two-sided sign 
  • General dimensions for a two-sided 4 sf sign would be 2' x 2' or 3' x 1

 

Commercial/Industrial Districts

A property owner is permitted a maximum of two (2) signs per calendar year. The duration to display any temporary sign is 60 days per temporary signNo sign shall obstruct pedestrian and/or vehicular traffic, or be located within the right-of-way or vision triangle.

 

One-sided sign

  • The maximum size is 32 square feet for a one-sided sign

 

Two-sided sign

  • The maximum size is 16 square feet for a two-sided sign
