Starting this week, the Village will begin picking up live Christmas trees, weather pending. The Village will continue to pick up trees during January, concluding on January 26th. All trees must be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on January 26th.
Please keep in mind the following when placing your tree on the curb:
- REMOVE all decorations from the tree, including lights and tinsel
- The tree stand MUST be removed
- LIVE TREES ONLY! DO NOT leave artificial trees on the curb
- All trees should be placed parallel to the curb/street and not in the street
- Wreaths or trees with plastic bags, stands, wires or lights will not be picked up
- Trees that are frozen into the snowbanks will be left until the spring brush pickup
- No other brush or yard waste will be collected at this time
If you don't want to wait and have a compost site permit, you may drop your tree off directly at the Village's Compost Site at 3891 Eaton Rd. Bellevue Compost Site is open seven days a week, 6:30 a.m. - 7:45 p.m., weather permitting. A compost sticker is required and can be obtained by contacting Lou Ann Zeamer with your name, address, phone, and license plate #, along with your vehicle make, model & color. You can reach Lou Ann at lzeamer@villageofbellevuewi.gov or (920) 593-1108.
