FAQs about Village of Bellevue services during Safer at Home order.

Can I still request an absentee ballot?  Yes.  You may request an absentee ballot up until the Thursday before the election.  For the April 7 election, the deadline is April 2.  You may request an absentee ballot at myvote.wi.gov.  You may need to upload a photo of your Wisconsin ID.

Is the Village Compost site open?  Yes, the compost site located at 3891 Eaton Road is open.  The Village operates a licensed compost site where village residents may deposit brush and yard waste.  Use by contractors requires a Contractor's Permit.  This site is for village residents and contractors use only. Use by contractors without a permit and non-Bellevue residents is prohibited and subject to citations.

Can I flush "flushable" wipes?  No.  So called flushable wipes get clogged in pipes and in the waste water treatment plant equipment.  Please, do not flush wipes!  This could exacerbate the circumstances we are in currently by adding sanitary system failure to our woes!

Will garbage and recycling pickup continue as usual?  Yes. The Village contracts garbage and recycling pick-up with Harter's Waste Disposal. We contacted them today and they said that they are considered an "essential service" and will continue normal operations.  They did inform us that with most people home, they are noticing heavier loads than normal and therefore pickup may be an hour or so later than usual.

Are Village offices open?  Not for in-person walk-in services with the exception of voting.  All other services are available through e-services on our website at villageofbellevue.org, by email, or by phone.

Is the Village accepting in-person payment of utility bills etc.?  No.  You may mail your payment, utilize free direct payment (with a checkbook), or pay online with a credit/debit card ($2.99 3rd party fee). We cannot waive the CC fee because it is through a 3rd party, not the Village of Bellevue.
