Pickleball in Bellevue

Josten Park pickleball court
Did you know that Bellevue has 2 outdoor courts lined for pickleball?  The tennis courts at DeBroux Park and at Josten Park also have one court each lined for pickleball.  Called "the fastest growing sport in America" by NBC Nightly News, pickleball continues to rise in popularity.

Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, similar to a Wiffle Ball, over a net on a court roughly half the size of a tennis court. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.

We encourage players to take their game outside and visit our parks to play pickleball this summer!
