Become a Friends of Bellevue Parks Volunteer. Your Help is Needed!

Become a Friend of Bellevue Parks and make a sound investment in the quality of life that we all associate with Bellevue.  The Friends of Bellevue Parks group is a dedicated group of volunteers who give their time to assisting with various events the Bellevue Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department offers.  Assistance from the Friends group is crucial to the success of many of our events.  Past and upcoming volunteer opportunities include Emerald Ash Borer ribbon tying, concession sales at Rockin’ in Josten concert series, and working a booth at the annual Trick or Treat Trail.

Join & Volunteer:  This is a group of fun loving people who are dedicated to ensuring our community has the best recreational opportunities we can provide, and we are looking for more fun loving, like minded individuals!  All we ask is a commitment to 2 events a year, whatever will work in your calendar.  All volunteers get a bright Friends of Bellevue Parks t-shirt, are invited to an end-of-summer bar-b-que, and get to help make decisions on what worthy projects the funds raised throughout the year are spent on.

When you join the Friends of Bellevue Parks, know that you are helping support and ensure continued growth and enhancement of the facilities and services of Bellevue's Parks & Leisure Services Department.  Your time will help maintain the 300+ acres of Village parks and numerous annual special events.  Friends of Bellevue Parks sponsors volunteer activities to benefit the parks, raises funds to support park programs, and works in the community to educate the public about the many benefits of parks and leisure services.

Giving time, talents and resources to the Friends support a broad range of parks, events and services, from acres of open green space, parks to play in, exceptional leisure programs and new and innovative environmental initiatives.

Your involvement goes beyond the time spent; it unites you with an organization of people who truly make a difference in the future of our parks and programs.

How to Become a Member:  Contact Parks, Recreation and Forestry Director, Stephanie Schlag at or 920-468-5225.  Or follow the link here to complete a volunteer application.  As a member, you will be included in all information on upcoming events and volunteer opportunities, invited to our summer bar-b-que and our annual winter meeting where we review last year’s projects, plan the upcoming event commitments and (the most fun part) decide what great project or items we are going to help financially support to improve our parks in Bellevue!
