On Monday, February 20th the local Brownie Scouts from Saint Bernard Church stopped by the Bellevue Fire-Rescue Department. The group toured the station and also met with fireman who were training that night. After meeting with fireman they gathered in the training room and learned first aid skills, taught to them by Fire Officer Glen Unsinn. Officer Unsinn taught the girls various skills such as bleeding control, treating Bee stings, and what to do if someone falls and hurts their arm or leg. These were all skills the girls needed to learn in order to receive their first aid badge. Officer Unsinn said that all of the girls did an excellent job learning the skills needed to acquire their first aid badge.
