Volunteers Needed - EAB Tree Wrapping on Saturday, April 11
On April 11th and 12th of 2015, the Parks and Leisure Services department invites you to come out and join us in bringing public awareness of EAB or Emerald Ash Borer. More than 1,068 public ash trees are located in Village right-of-way and parks.
This borer has killed millions of Ash trees in Minnesota and has already been found in the City of Green Bay. We will be meeting at DeBroux Park at 10:00 am Saturday morning. At this site, teams will receive maps with detailed locations of public ash trees marked on aerial photos and be shown how to wrap the trees.
Then two or three person teams will drive or walk to a location and wrap Village trees on the maps they have. This is a great way to meet members of your community and bring awareness to EAB. Hope to see you there!
