Get to Know Your Village - Green Bay Metro Services

Welcome to the 10th article in the “Get to Know Your Village” series through the Bellevue Focus.  We hope these articles educate and inform about the services we provide and who provides them.

Green Bay Metro operates 13 full-service bus routes, a number of limited-service bus routes and Paratransit services throughout the Green Bay area.  The Gold Line (Route #18) serves the Village of Bellevue and includes key Bellevue stops at Target and Costco.  Route #14 provides a service stop at Walmart.  From the Transit Center (901 University Avenue), riders can switch to any line in the system.

Bus hours of operation are Monday thru Friday 5:15 am to 9:45 pm, Saturdays 7:15 am to 6:45 pm, except for six holidays a year.  All of Green Bay Metro’s buses are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible and can accommodate mobility devices such as standard wheelchairs and scooters.  In addition, bike racks are also available on all buses.

Similar to other municipalities in the Green Bay area, the Village of Bellevue contributes to the costs of operating a bus route in the Village.  We also routinely review current routes and evaluate the need for new or expanded routes in coordination with Green Bay Metro.  We welcome citizen input on these services.

For the latest information on services, fares, real time data on bus locations and trip planner tools, visit the Green Bay Metro website.  On green Saturday’s everyone rides for free, give it a try this weekend.
