This Fall the Village of Bellevue offered it's 3rd annual Citizen’s Academy. The Academy provided Village residents and representatives from area businesses the opportunity to learn about their local government and its various operations.
Citizen Academy students who completed a six week program had their achievement
acknowledged by receiving a certificate of completion at a
held at the Village Board meeting on October 8,
Participants attended one evening per night over a period of six weeks. Sessions lasted approximately an hour and a half. Village staff facilitated the sessions and provided in depth information on administration, law enforcement, fire protection, public works, budget/finance, community development and leisure services. The academy was offered at no cost to participants due to the generous donation received from the Guyette Family who have supported the academy since its inception three years ago.
Staff is currently working on organizing another Citizen Academy in March/April 2015.
