The Bellevue Summer Camp is off to another great start! Campers ages 6-12 are getting active outdoors and are participating in a variety of activities. Each day, 36 campers at Josten Park and 48 campers at DeBroux Park participate in physical activities including soccer, kickball and the park favorite; dodgeball! Not only do the campers play active games, but they also create take-home artwork and crafts. Over the summer, campers have created tie dye shirts, jumping cups, hovercrafts, lava bottles and endless paintings to hang on the refrigerators at home.
When the campers aren’t participating in these awesome events at the park, you can find them having fun on field trips. On Wednesdays the Parks and Leisure Services Summer Camp staff and campers at both parks head out to enjoy the day at a fun destination. So far campers have been to the Tundra Lodge Waterpark, the N.E.W. Zoo, the Mulberry Farm and even to a Timber Rattlers Baseball game. There is no doubt; it has been an exciting and memorable summer so far!
