County Highway GV (Monroe Road) Reconstruction to Begin

The Brown County Public Works Department will begin work to reconstruct County Highway GV or Monroe Road in the Village of Bellevue starting the week of May 20th.  However, motorists will begin to see crews stage the construction area and install traffic control measures over the next week.

As part of the planned work, Brown County plans to close the CTH V / Lime Kiln Road at CTH GV intersection beginning on May 20th as well.  A traffic detour route will follow CTH V to Central Drive to Allouez Avenue back to CTH GV.  The intersection is planned to re-open to traffic on Friday, August 2, 2013.  As will all road projects, the timing of completion is weather-dependent and may change due to the weather conditions.

The public can stay informed on the progress of this project by going to http://www.villageofbellevue.org and clicking the icon for construction updates.

Additionally, the Brown County Public Works Department will be holding weekly construction meetings at the Brown County Sheriff's Office located at 2684 Development Drive.  The meetings will occur weekly on Tuesdays at 10am starting on May, 7, 2013.  Weekly email updates can also be delivered by subscribing to bc_highway@co.brown.wi.us.
