Josten Park Now Features Lighting for Night Sledding

The Village recently installed a new lighting system that allows for after-dark sledding at Josten Park.  The following YouTube video explains the system:

Users can activate the lights after dark until 9pm.  Lights will remain on for 60 minutes.  When the timer is running down a flashing orange strobe will activate for six minutes; indicating the user must re-activate the switch.  If the lights are not reactivated, they will turn off and need to cool for 15 minutes prior to being activated again.  The lighting system will not be active unless snow conditions are favorable for sledding.

The Leisure Services Department reminders park users, that sledding is done at your OWN risk.  For more information on Bellevue parks and leisure services, go to:  www.villageofbellevue.org
