2012 Freeze Fest - A No Go!

Well it is official! With not enough snow, the 2012 Freeze Fest is a no go. Despite it being the middle of winter, mother nature has not provided us with an amount of accumulated snow to make the planned events possible for the 11th annual Freeze Fest.

This will be the third time in Freeze Fest's history that all outdoor events had to be canceled due to poor winter conditions. The last time Freeze Fest was canceled was 2007.

Christmas Tree Pick-Up Starts

The Village is picking up Christmas trees during the month of January, typically the first Monday and Tuesday of the week. The Village will not pick up wreaths or trees with plastic bags, stands, and wires or lights attached to them. Trees that are frozen into the snow banks will be left until the spring brush pickup. The Village will grind the trees into mulch which will be available to residents free of charge this spring at the Village compost site (3891 Eaton Road).

The picture depicts how trees should be placed at the curb.
